15 years since its first appearance during the Women’s Spring/Summer 2009 fashion show, Fendi pays tribute to the Peekaboo bag with a limited-edition celebratory book. Peekaboo-K tells the story of an icon, balanced between artisan tradition, experimentation and creativity. The bag’s name is inspired by the “peek-a-boo, I see you” game, referring to the contrast between the geometric minimalism of the outer shell and surprising combinations of the interior. Like the bag, the Peekaboo-K book also has a structured, three-dimensional cover and a charming interior with exclusive content and a photographic collection of 80 bags from the historic Fendi archive. The introduction is a conversation between Silvia Venturini Fendi, Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Leonetta Luciano Fendi, a dialogue between the different generations of the Fendi family. The book is divided into four chapters, each with a contribution from a ‘Friend of the House’, including Sophie Fontanel, Kengo Kuma and Naomi Watts, followed by shots taken by internationally renowned photographers Peter Langer, Isabelle Wenzel, Sebastian Lager and Adrien Dubost.
